Each pendulum is different.

My grandmother found things with a ring on a thread. She held it over the floor of a new house before anyone was allowed to sleep there, over letters she did not trust, over the bellies of women who wanted to know. The pendulum is one of the oldest tools a witch has, and one of the most honest. It cannot flatter you. It moves, or it does not.

This one has been washed in running water, smoked over juniper and woken by me before it is sent to you, so it arrives ready to answer. It is not tied to anyone yet. It learns your hand the first time you hold it.

Use it to:
• ask yes or no, and get an answer you cannot argue your way around
• choose between stones, herbs, spells or spirits
• find what is lost, over a map or room by room through the house
• ask your familiar or your spirits a question and watch them answer
• check whether a room, an object or a gift carries something it should not
• read a working afterwards: has it taken hold, or does it need more?

How to begin:
Hold the chain between thumb and finger and let the pendulum hang still. Ask it to show you yes, and wait. Then ask it to show you no. Every pendulum and every hand is a little different, so let it tell you rather than deciding for it. Ask a few things you already know the answer to before you ask what you do not. When you are done, thank it and lay it on salt, a dark cloth or in its pouch.

Do not let others use it. Once it knows your hand, it should stay yours.

Includes:
• One pendulum, the exact one shown
• Printed instructions (the same as written here)
• Washed, smoked and woken by me before it is sent

This is part of The Witch’s Treasury, my line of enchanted artefacts drawn from what I use in my personal grimoire vault.
Do not pass it around. Do not gift it once touched.
The spell binds to the first hand.
